Ok, this is being talked about all over the place like wildfire. I won't mention any names myself, it's been said in plenty of other places.

What I want to ask here is about the big win this trainer just received in spite of "the questionable welt".

I get overwhelmed when over a hundred people are all talking and posting at once, and futhermore, I haven't found the answer to this question yet if it's been asked already.

My question is, Will this trainer and or horse be stripped of this Supreme Championship just won if the evidence proves the trainer lied about the welt?? It's been said on another board that somebody has the entire incident from start to finish, from the warm up area where the so called stallion fight started all the way to the end on video tape.

If it is proven that he lied to the ring steward, the judges and the vet about how that welt appeared, will his prize be stripped?

Now, I have nothing against this horse. Nothing at all. He can't help that his owner and handler is a dipstick.

What will happen? I've seen somewhere that because the trainer was on probation already he will probably be banned for life. Well, banned from what exactly? Showing in Scottsdale? Showing in any Arabian showring? OR Banned from owning horses? How far can his punishment possibly go?
I would hope he would be banned from owning horses, but I know seriously that will never happen.
I read that AHA nearly went bankrupt trying to fight this trainer in court before.

Now, supposedly USEF is involved and are saying that don't care who he is or how much money he has or who his lawyers are. Will this make a difference? Can anybody tell me?

This whole situation just blows my mind. How far can money get you when you don't have a history of playing nice?

Any and all thoughts are incouraged here. I just want to know if in the end, can a Supreme Championship be revoked??

Let me add............

Of course I'm concerned about the horse and all the horses in this man's care. That is a given for me. I just want to know that if his wins can be taken away from him will people stop following him and condoning his actions?

I don't think anyone can speculate what actions/punishment would or could be given since the halter classes were not sanctioned and therefore not subject to the Arabian rulebook. I don't know that there is anything USEF can do since Scottsdales's show management chose not to use the USEF/AHA rules and forego sanctioning so that they didn't have to use the new Scorecard halter. Disciplinary measures would be up to the show management as it would be the show rules that would govern in the absence of the Arabian rulebook.

Like you Christy, I've read so much about this at this point I can't even fathom what might happen, but..... one thing I read that I found interesting was that the last time there was a court battle/law suit with this guy it almost broke the IAHA. There's speculation that even if the AHA could do something, they probably won't because it's just means too much money involved to fight him.

Very sad situation, esp. for the horses :(.

I know Christy is really sucks... But the reality is no one is going to do anything. They never do the Big Farms/Big Trainers get away with it because money always talks. THE TRAINER that won the Champion get's more and more cleints because people want the money and win. They don't care about the horse which breaks my heart it is our honor to take care of these Arabians while they are here on earth. Really makes me sick, sick this is the last I will comment cause nothing is going to be done some things just don't change..

I just went on USEF site and all their email on under contact us.
I think every should send an email to everyone of them, they are as guilty as David Boggs.

I will tell you a little story about the USEF.

The first show I ever showed in was in Springfield, IL. At the time I only owned one SE colt, but I went to the show to help a guy out. He said I could show his NSH in the 1/s Arab class, so the night before the show he starting schooling me on what to do. Now I am the first one to admitt the horse knew more than I did, but I won FIRST, and went back for the Championship class and won that. Well the next day was the NSH class, Mike got sick so he asked if I would show the gelding, so we changed who was going to be showing him, I was not dress for NSH class, I had dress pants, blouse and a vest with a little red bow tie, I took second and went back in for the Championship class and was told I could not show being dressed as I was. They did let me keep the second place ribbon.

So how fair is fair. They said rules are rules and it was the USEF that told me that. So was it because they knew I didn't have the money to sue them or was it because no one had ever heard of me, and my name wasn't David Boggs.

Judge Blackstone has written comments about the Scottsdale show on her facebook page. You can go to facebook (will need to register if you don't have an account) and ask to be her friend so you can view her page. I didn't have a facebook page so this gave me an excuse to make one...LOL.
