On the 17th of September the great head sire of the EAO - El Zahraa stud- passed, peacefully without any suffer in the age of 28, till the end he was happy breeding and full of pride and naughty as he always been and known, i saw him from a month and although age took much of his body but couldn’t take anything from his brave kid like heart.Adl born in the 19th of March 1982 by Ikhnaton and out of Enayah, he sired so so much off springs in Egypt he was one of the top stallion at the EAO and still, he was always in the top of the list of the breeding. He gives always powerful beautiful naughty babies ..
he was even exported to Jordan for a while to breed some of the finest RJS mares and even thier he had so great gets
He was a horse , he was a man , he was a STALLION by all means
Rest in peace dear Adl
PS he is the grandfather of both Zebeeb and Haifa

Dear Yassmin,

Thank you for the information and photos on Adl. He lived a very long and productive life, and it was nice to hear that he went quietly. He was loved and admired by many.

thank you yassmine for the sad news the passing of adl. Fortunately he left many good offspring to carry on. I saw him last in 1998 and liked him very much. took some good photos too and some notes. he is now happy in greener pastures.

Oh this is sad news. Adl was a wonderful stallion and yes he is well represented in the breeding programmes in Egypt and throughout the Middle East.

Here is a photo that I took of Adl either in 1990 or 91.

Attached File  Adl___EA_1224.jpg   13.79KB   0 downloads

We were very fortunate to be owned for a few years by Adl's full sister Nageia.

Here are a few older video grab photos of Nageia ... that mare could move. Hansi was visiting that day so she can attest to her movement :scoregood:

Ansata used Nageia in their programme as well and she produced a daughter by Ansata Hejazi, Ansata Najiba. I believe that this mare has a 2004 son on the East coast by the name of Ansata Al Shahin (x Ansata Sirius).

Thanks for letting us know Yassmine.

O yes Judi, She could fly. that's what I am looking for, and so seldom still found. I liked Ansata Hejazi, but he could not move as Nageia by a long shot.

Just wonder what A. Najiba is like, have not seen her.

Oh Yassim, you have had a lot to deal with lately. I am so sorry for the loss of a great Stallion such as he. In his pic. you can see the Regalness of him. He was a proud Arabian and with good reason from the looks of his get and grandget. I do hope your Zebeeb is doing much better. Thankyou for the lovely pictures.
