I've always liked this stallion. I was at Hidden River when he was a yearling
and much preferred him to his older, bay full brother but then I'm a sucker
for "Julyan grays." So what are the O'Donnells are doing with him and why don't I see any foals by him?
HR Judaan represents the very thin sire line in SEs left to Gulastra>Mesaoud>Zobeyni which is almost gone, so colt or filly by him wouldn't much matter to me. I'll be very sorry if we lose this
diversity.
The Julyan daughters I've seen have, as a group, been absolutely
jaw-dropping mares (from a variety of older American Asil bloodlines.)
Good stuff!

I have contacted them via email but have not had a response. I plan on calling them soon, but don't like being a bother so will wait and see if they email me back.
I have only seen pics of both stallions, and have to agree the grey far outdoes the bay. I think, if I read the website corretly, the bay was gelded as were his male offspring. Glad to see some breeders aren't keeping the lesser, yet rare, lines intact just because they are rare. It tells me they are horse people first, presevationists second. I like that order. More people should take notice.
Anyway, the website has not been updated in some time (unless I am wrong) so am crossing my fingers he is still alive a viable. I agree, a horse like this is NEEDED for his genes and quality. Would be terrible to lose. Since there are so many people here looking to preserve and better the SE, I hope some will spring for him.
