HI all-
well, speaking of Gleannloch breeding- this boy is 100% !!  http://www.allbreedp...om/zahin haalim

He's 10yo and I just bred him for the first time this year.. also just got some beautiful photos done of him and my others by Chistina Rousseau... I will share!!
He is also completely pre-1968 imports..  I have shown him in halter, trail, and have recently started doing the Extreme Cowboy Challenge with him because he is SUPER brave, and SUPER smart!  So I thought I would show those QH people a thing or two! :bigemo_harabe_net-109:
He thinks a lot of himself, of course.. hope you all do, to!

I'm loving this topic, and thanks
Lorriee for mentioning my horse Razal Ibn Azalia...
he is over 21% Fay-El-Dine from his half Babson side
and is unusual among SE pedigrees in several ways.
Pictures of him attached below.
Yes Lorriee has his only filly so far, Midbar Lady Anne,
and Larry Green has his only colt.
More to come, Inshallah!

Ok, where to start...so many stallions
and so little time!

I really liked Kim Nelson's stallion Meadow
Mahonri (Kamars Sharif x *AK Jaheena by Waseem)
when I saw him as a two year old...a big strapping
correct black colt with charisma to burn!
And I am dying to see another stallion she
has REA Amir Zarif
(SF Amil IbnNazeer x REA Nisrs Angel by AppleHillElNisr).

Maybe Hansi could be coaxed into sharing
info on what I understand to be a very
promising youngster Serenity Khofo?
(Serenity Mujib x Serenity Sharisa by AK Shah Munifeh)
My mother has been going on about him since
she saw him during a visit earlier this year
and I'd like to hear more so I can keep an
eye out for him!

David Myers has a really promising young
horse that has done well at the Egyptian Event
the last few years who seems to gets better
every year I see him mature, REA El Karim
(PVA Karim x REA Nisrs Angel by AppleHillElNisr).

Looking forward to reading more about
all these wonderful stallions mentioned!

Jill

hi jill
I really like this stallion too, his smooth lines, etc.etc. There are still a few real good ones out there people should take advantage of quickly, before it is too late.

As fas as 'Serneity Khofo'[ is concerned, he is now a typical '3 year old. Remember that's the one we saved from 'rodecoccos' with a 10,000 vet tag. ha. But it was worth it. Bill will now start working with him, ground work longing free, because I cant do it. that last accident put me flat for doing little anymore. Then I will send him out to a trainer and we see how he lasts, . He is doing great otherwise and a real ham. Is now in the stall close to the house, in Shahmir's stall, who is out in training together with Mamzali. So I watch him all the time from my office window.

Also I must say that Joe Linzners's stallion is a real good one. another one which whould not be overlooked.

Jill, if people would only wake up, take those sunglasses off and that goes especially for some foreign countries in my opinion, go throughy the expense of taking their mare there for natural breeding and will encounter such good start, or start over. Ray Ellis also got some real good ones,
and he is sitting in Idaho close to some mare owners.

Look at our stallions. they cary ancestors very few people have anywhere, like Sf Ibn Nazeer, producing that incredible rearend too. I am not pushing our studs, just want people to be aware of it.

take cae

Hi again-

Second is my fabulous Tuhotmous bred stallion who is rare indeed: http://www.allbreedp...r messauds amir

Could not be a lovelier, kinder, more athletic and beautiful boy!  I also have not bred him to anyone that can conceive yet (practice, practice!) but plan on it next year.  He is broke to ride
but due to plural pneumonia caused by a REALLY STUPID hauler, I do not compete on him..

Great thread! We have two colts that I'll brag about. One is LAA Aziim who is by the Gleannloch bred Amiin+// and out of an Abbasiyah Stud bred mare, Nenaa (*Serag x Nilequest Lady). He is currently with Larry Westmoreland at West Wind Training Center and is getting started under saddle. Larry says this colt will be an excellent working cow horse like his sire or a phenomenol hunter pleasure horse if he were taken in that direction. Larry has encouraged us not to geld him as he feels he has potential and value as a stallion.

Our other colt is LAA Nar Azar by Kehilan's outcross stallion, Vanylla Ice, and out of a Mkhsous daughter (Mahkira) who is a 3/4 sister to Makhnificent KA.  This colt is a very flashy mover with  good conformation and
is turning out to be a handsome colt. Becky at Kehilan feels this colt has stallion potential and he has been left intact for now.

Both colts have pedigrees that have no or little Ansata/Imperial and no Minstrel.

Dear Mike and Jennifer

these are two good foals, I congratulate you. Of course you have these excellent mares I expected nothing different. So good you send one to that Texan Trainer I also really liked.

all the others I see here in photographs from other posters are also very good in my eyes.

See, a good man (stallion) isn't hard to find, it's just so easy to find the other kind.  I hope you all keep the pictures, the pedigrees and the locations coming.   You will make some local mare owners happy to know that there is a high likelihood, that their sweetheart of a girl, does not have to be treated as if some overpriced stallion, is doing you and her a favor; you may help stop the decline in our genetic pool, and we might be able to start bragging about the quality of horse we are producing, rather than having to have a separate show because our horses will be able to compete in all venues from trail horse to endurance horse to sport horse, or even in one of those calenders in which males get to show off their forearms and thighs.

Love these good looking boys. :1233_hand_clapping:

He is a nice looking guy too! I like his breeding as well. So he is a full brother to TDR White Stone then?. From what I've heard lately Ravenwood Ranch has/had some really great looking horses.

Yes, Blackhawke AE is the 1 year younger brother to Xena's TDR White Stone.

Jane Bohn of Ravenwood Ranch continues to breed and sell excellent quality horses, both SE, ER and partbreds.  I think she still has the full brother to Ravenwood Royalty, Ravenwood Fayez, available.  Another black (and suspected sire of her awesome grulla spotted mule from a few years ago!).  I own 2 mares bred by Jane:  Ravenwood Sandterra (Arabest Jaseem x Ravenwood Caitlin (RG Al Mone)) and her 3 year old daughter, Ravenwood Enchantment by Ravenwood Mareekh (Ravenwood Monee x Cyndahh (Desert Centaur)).  Both very beautiful mares, but surprisingly different types considering they are mother and daughter.  Athleticism is never an issue from Ravenwood, because of the strong Pritzlaff foundation.  And beauty is a given.   Sandterra has enough lift on her stride to be a reasonable saddleseat prospect.  Enchantment is already taller (and only just turned 3), but seems to be more a Western or Hunter type.

There's absolutely something for everyone on Jane's sale tapes!!  :1233_hand_clapping:

Trish I think it will be sometime yet before Australian SE breeders on the whole start looking for outcrosses.  But the time will come eventually. I just hope there are still enough breeders holding onto other lines when the time comes that they can be utilised.

I had hoped there would be some interest as an outcross in old el Nasra last season due to his Sameh sire line and strong infusion of Moniet el Nefous blood through his grandsire Sir Ibn Moniet - but aside from 2 SE mares here of mine - he only covered 3 domestic  blood mares and 2 of those were older mares who slipped.

This season will likely be his last at stud - although he is only 22 - his movment and covering mares are affected by arthritis and cause him discomfort. I have 2 different SE mares I hope to try to him this season - hoping for some youngsters with his movement and style.

Regards
David

Jodi,
You need to keep us posted on the extreme cowboy race, we have one coming up here next month @ Equine Affaire. I believe the cash prize is $5,000, plus they have saddles and I think a trailer so on. This is intense and your horse needs to be VERY well trained. So kudos to you for doing it!!! I hope to see someone compete on an Arabian here in West Spfld. Ma next month.

Jodi,

Thank you for the compliment on Nile Zavon. The photo's posted are from his 2 yr old year and he is now 5 so has gone through some changes and matured a bit more. We have GOT to get new photos, but I dare not try myself (not so much talent in that department) He is a true represenative of the Ansata Nile line and we so wanted to breed him this past spring, but so much going on with a pretty new move to Tennessee and many projects under way etc.

Ill attatch a few more also taken as a 2 yr old. He is linebred *Ansata Ibn Halima and carries all the great Ansata mares in his pedigree...*Ansata Mabrouka, Ansata Rosetta, Ansata Damietta (2 x's) *Ansata Bint Bukra (3 x's) Ansata Aziza, *Ansata Bint Zafaarana and Ansata Nile Mist.

Your boys are stunning!!!

Good evening all! Nice topic, as usualy Lorriee! Jodi, that is a couple of pretty darned impressive boys you have. I keep threatening Marika Leff that I will one day come up to see her boys, so when I do, I will have to drop by you place as well. My sister lives in Davis, so not far from both of you. Marika needs to get over her technophobia & learn how to post photos of her stallions. Al Saheb and Al Perfo RSI need to get their faces before the public also! Al Saheb (Salih by *IBn Hafiza x Asmar by *Zaghloul) is non-Nazeer, non-Moniet, and Al Perfo RSI is quite a handsom guy with that superb Pritlaff movement. The very first colt from my EH Bahretta was also an Ibn Tuhotmos son. Sadly, I lost her just 2 weeks ago. Still have not gotten over the shock. Here are a couple of boys with very different pedigrees. The light chestnut is Musafir Almubarak, (El Musaffir x Amber Aziza by *Lancer Sahm) The photo was taken this spring, unclipped & dirty, just hanging out with his buddy Naar El Sadat, AKA Lefty. The dark gentleman belongs to Rebecca Quick. Juans Sable is by El Reata Juan x Bint Serasabba. Sable was here on loan from May-July. I bred a three mare to him, Bahretta, Amber, and EH Bashirah. I lost Bahretta to a horrible founder that hit out of the blue, Bashirah apparently did not take, and I beleive that Amber did. That should be a realy interesting foal!
