I am so glad to see many old friends from SE.com. I was deleted so many times it wasn't funny any more. Then when I challenged Kelly was asked to leave by Scott. I was so upset to see what they had done with Hansi's posts. The least they could have done was be respectful. Not a lot of the older breeders are left since so many have passed away and their knowledge has gone with them. So many people in the breed are the age of my children and I am just getting older and older! So many of these breeders came on the scene after I had dropped out so don't know me or what knowledge I have. Jan

dear jan

so happy to see you here. yes, i agree with what you say. most of all what we oldies gladly give is not for sale either.

indeed many of us look at other forums too. I just looked at the seforum again and the last post of kelly contains in my opinion such fabels, such incorrect statements and insults to some of their former posters rendering on lies. and i guess it wont change. how can anybody have faith and trust in such forums now?

personally, to me it is sickening. if a website cant be trusted, defames posters, it is time to reconsider by anybody to either make themselves part of it by condoning it, or make another decision.

Other forums went under because of webmasters/owners becoming 'judging posters'.
it becomes especially ainfull when some webmasters have limited knowledge and or do not know how to act and behave as a business owner.

take care

I'm so glad you made it over here. I think this forum is off to a great start, and with so many of the knowledgable breeders such as yourself finding their way here, it can only get better.

Hi Christine,

Great to see you here!

I don't have any idea if I was deleted,
as I never bothered to check. Frankly,
I don't like thought police games so
at some point a month or so ago I simply
decided not to post there anymore.
No sense to wait for it happen to me -- the worst
was to see it happen to all my friends who I learned
from everyday, who know so much and are
so happy to share that knowledge.

As for the mare in my Avatar, she
was my first purebred Arabian: an
Al Khamsa mare mostly Egyptian, bred
by my mother. Her name is Cassiah,
and she taught me from foal to adulthood
what a good mare should look and be like.

I don't have any pictures that do justice
to Illa Bint Serag (Judi's mare??) yet, but will
rectify that in 3 weeks when she's shed out to her
beautiful purple and blonde self! :1233_hand_clapping:

All my best,

Jill

Hi Jill

I was deleted too and defended deleted people...

I think, in addition to all the negatives, it is very irritating to posters and lacking respect from moderators to delete posts like that. It takes time to read posts, and answer. Why even do it if it disappears instantly!

I can imagine the color. My Ghazal is turning liver with lighter mane and tail when he sheds.

You know what is intriguing?
I saw that dark (much darker than mine - like Sadats Espresso) color with flaxen mane at Al Marah. I will have to dig out the source if possible. I wonder if it goes to El Rabdan as suggested by some people on SE.com.

Should start a thread on the subject with your thoughts.

Hi Jill,
Love the old action photo of Cassiah (RG Joshua X Sunkyst Maranatha). It was always one of my favorites. I did most of the saddle training on the gorgeous mare, she was a wonderful cross of Pritzlaff/*Ibn Halima, and oh could she trot! I remember riding her in the park with about 70 days training, trotting along at a very good clip when two deer popped out on the trail! The AK gelding ahead, veered nicely to the side but Cassie never waivered, straight on without flinching!
She was really a gorgeous cinnamon color and without fault. What a fabulous first mare.

Hiya!! I'm here too. Decided to keep the same name at SE.com because I'm getting totally confused at all the name changes (LOL).

Looking forward to reading lots of posts and hearing about your horses. Wish I had one to post about !!

Chris:

AWESOME to see you here!
Are you coming to the AK Convention
in OR this August? There is a vicious rumor
that the AK Bull Riders may ride again,
and I can neither confirm nor deny....

Mike and the bull look rather happy to be the centre of all that female attention! LOL.
