To all our friends here on the forum,

It is with a heavy heart I share with you the
passing of my mother's mighty So Perfecta,
one of the last SE straight Pritzlaff mares.
She was a very young 20 years and left us
way too soon.

She charmed and amazed with her energy and quality.
She out-produced herself and the stallion
nearly every time...here is her legacy:

I am sorry for your loss, and am wondering if she was related to the mare Perfecta who I asked Julia Byfield about? (perhaps you could put up a link to her pedigree--)

Pam . . . I have already given you my deepest condolances and empathy, however . . . let me do so again, and also to Debbie, and to Jill. It is hard to lose any beloved horse, but even MORE difficult to lose the really special ones! :(

I have also given private condolences, but wanted to let others know how much this mare was cherished by Pam, Debbie and Jill... Every time they spoke about her / wrote about her, it was with delight and excitement for the future, for the foals she would have, and they HONOURED her.. They were SO delighted to have been able to purchase her, and her loss will be so much the more difficult to bear... because of the loss of the hopes and dreams..
I was totally shocked when I heard the news, and still can't believe it, really.
Live on in your children, So Perfecta, and may the memories that Pam, Deb and Jill have of you remain strong for ever

I have had kind words from so many people today, thanks to all of you. This has indeed been a heart wrenching night and day. When I left my farm yesterday afternoon, I had just seen her and then to get the call around 7 that she was trapped and cast in our stack of round bales was unbelieveable. She died of heat stroke.
Marilee, Perfecta RSI was a half sister, both mares having Alfisa RSI as dam. Just noticed the wierd coincidence that Alfisa RSI died August 30 in 1995, exactly 15 years ago yesterday.
So Perfecta was sired by SonietasSolar RSI (Almoniet RSI X Sonieta) and the last foal of Alfisa RSI (Alcibiades X *Bint Nefisa). She was descended entirely from the original import of Richard Pritzlaff.
We are draped in black at our farm, she took our hearts in a very short time and we have been graced by her presence every moment since she arrived. As Julia says the loss of the hopes and dreams with regard to our beautiful So Perfecta are every bit as hard to give up as the mare herself.

So sorry for this news :( I only knew her through pictures, but I did admire her. She was obviously very loved by those close to her.

Pam and Deb and Jill.....
Mares like So Perfecta come into our lives so rarely and make such a huge impression on our hearts and in our minds that their passing is doubly hard.They leave a huge hole in our hearts when they leave, and that is as it should be. She will not be forgotten. Her legacy is a good one, both in the children she leaves behind and the love and respect she created in those who were her people.Her time with you was far too short, but it was a GOOD time, for you and for her.......hugs.......thinking of you......

I'm so sad to read that your hopes and dreams have been shattered . It does seem how ever that So Perfecta was with her care givers just long enough to leave an ever lasting impression...((hugs))
