I do like mine but need to use it some more to get both myself and my mare used to it.  I think some more practice will be good to encourage me to use my legs more effectively.  But I don't like how much I have to pull on the reins to get a response--even though I intellectually know that I'm not pulling on her mouth I have such a mental block about moving my hands more than just a flicker.  (My first years riding were on TWHs who all went in curbs at that stable.  When I took up huntseat years later my first several lessons were punctuated by the instructor calling out, "Use the reins!  You have to guide the horse!" while I was sitting up there thinking that if I pulled any harder I was going to rip the horse's mouth off!)
