I got my first horse, a half Arab filly, when I was six years old, as an Easter present. Her sire, Rishan, was the first Arab stallion brought into Central Oregon, shipped by boxcar from Van Vleet Arabian Stud in Colorado. As a child, I was drawn to the pretty Arabian horses that lived on the ranch next door. Among their herd was a tall, elegant mare named Mirah, a Daaldan daughter. I just thought she was pretty and very tall, not understanding what a lovely pedigree she had until I was older. My dad and neighbors certainly fostered my attachment to the Arabian horse.
I have owned a SE mare, whom I bought from By-Bon Arabians. That mare, Myah, (Baraka Zouheir x Mireeyah) is now owned by Patty Betts, and is competing successfully in endurance, doing 50's and multi-days, mostly barefoot.
I have had Rashad Ibn Char for two years now, purchased from the Jeans estate. He is in good health now, and has been put back under saddle. He has a wonderful disposition and is a great ride. As soon as weather permits he and I will be back out on the trail.

My mother and I also recently rehomed 2 of the Jean's herd and bought a 3rd. Ana Kia is my mom's pasture mower, Ana Abuka is currently being backed and broke under saddle, and Ana Nicole is hopefully going to give me a baby Nice to have you here.

Nice to have you here.Pleased to meet you....I saw the girls that lived with Sue, while they were with her. She also shot some video of Rashad for me...so our friends could see the progress he made....kind of a "before" and "after". If you google his name you can view it. I hope you get a baby!
Rashad is such a great guy! He loves to get out and go...and he is such a nice ride. He is very mannerly around other horses, so it is easy to ride with others.
