Here's one I'd like to share that shows a mare that combines the Arabian's sprit and will to survive with beauty. Photo taken last year (June 2010) at age 25. Over the years she has survived a burst uterine vein during foaling, 2 colic surgeries (within 24 hours of each other), and severe laminitis including a tendonectomy.

Yes, the bay mare is one of mine. The surgery helped - but she still wears special boots, restricted diet, regular farrier care and meds. And great great care by the farm in Lexington that is taking care of her - Peregrine is the best! And great vets, great farriers, and lots of luck...

The photo is after all these problems, still fighting laminitis, of course.

I'm glad to hear that she has this great care!!
Do you feed Dynamite???
The Dyna-Pro made a world of difference for the foundered Mustang and Clyde I have here!
They both could barely walk and after feeding it for only 2.5 weeks they started trotting and galloping again.
I have the farrier come out every 6 weeks by now, at the beginning it was every 2 weeks.
They are both barefoot and are doing great.

No, she's not fed Dynamite, she's fed a custom blend.

Great news that yours are doing well! II'll read more about Dyna-pro, thanks.

I had April Battles here for a Holistic Clinic and she recommended the products.
Loved them so much that I signed up as distributor.
The wound balm is awesome too.
I burned myself on the woodstove and with the balm it healed fast and with barely a scar, even the skin was blistered!
And the Trace Minerals are super to stop the bleeding of wounds.
I have that handy now for pasture mishaps!
Here's the link to my distributor site if you want to check it:
www.dynamitemarketing.com/Akasha

I wish I would have learned earlier about these products, might would have saved our Mustang from foundering altogether.
The Clyde I got already badly foundered, but at least she's happy now and she's so good that I can ride now!
I've read a lot about Laminitis because of them too and never new how much it is connected to how they digest their food in their hind gut.
