The Cerebellar Abiotrophy (CA) Project Update from the Arabian Horse Foundation and the UC Davis Veterinary Genetics Laboratory is posted on the Foundation’s website:

This update has some important and exciting news for the advancement of CA research, as a potential causative mutation has been identified.  While some work is currently being done to validate the location of the CA gene, identification of this potential causative mutation has helped to strengthen the CA test and move it from a marker based screening test to a more fully developed DNA test.  As additional updates become available on this work, the information will be posted.

This update also includes some additional information about the CA test and ongoing CA research, so please make sure to read the update in its entirety.
