(Ibn Morafic x Talshamah)
Tabia was bred by Linda Lashley and is the product of two great breeding programs. Her sire, Ibn Morafic, was bred by the great Gleannloch Farms. He was US National Futurity Champion in 1976 and won a top ten in English Pleasure at the 1978 US Nationals as well as a Canadian top 10 in halter. He also won the Legion of Supreme Merit title. Tabia’s dam, Talshamah, came from another great breeder, Kline Arabians. She is the daughter of *Talal, a top show horse and race horse. The crossing of *Talal blood with that of *Morafic produced outstanding results.
Tabia is a small (14.1 hands) mare with a smooth, compact body. She is Kuhaylan Ajuz (Rodan) in strain. For a small mare, Tabia has good reach with the front end and power in the rear end. She works under saddle in both hunt seat and western. She is extremely smart, spirited and independent.
She has had 2 foals while at Living Art Arabians. A 2007 filly by Imtaarif is now owned by El Farida Stud in Egypt. She has a great 2011 colt at her side by our young stallion, LAA Nar Azar. All of her 4 foals were conceived by live cover. She is difficult to get bred by AI.
Attached are two photos of Tabia and photos of her filly and colt bred at Living Art Arabians.
