Today was big day for our little filly, Yara, born last October and rejected by her mom. She has always been watched real close by our gelding, Zeidan, and today we finally turned them out in the pasture together. I was a nervous nelly, but they did very good! He has been a life saver for us in helping teach her things we just could not.

Never in a million years would I have thought Zeidan would be the gelding-dad he has been, but I think he has found his love in life! Here's a few pictures from today! Melissa

If you happen to have a video or more photos of Her Cuteness and Her Gelding and happen to feel like posting them, would be very much enjoyed. :-)

For some reason, Arabian geldings seem to be devalued. I think they are wonderful to have around! I use mine as a "babysitter" for my 2 year old colt ;) Glad your two are finally together after just being buddies over the fence. I'm sure they both enjoy the closer company!

Here is a picture from when I introduced my gelding in with my colt (Osirion was just barely a year old). I bet I was even more nervous than you! As you can see, I left Zeplin's halter on, just in case I needed to rescue poor Osirion. My boys didn't have as much time to get acquainted over the fence as your two did. Great job!

Yep, one of our renters had a gelding that raised a colt from the time he was three days old and his mama died. As far as that colt was concerned, that gelding was his parent and the only thing he needed people for was bringing the bottles.
