That weekend was gorgeous at Aachen, the competition had 260 entries, with 20 Guestriders from 4 Nations :-)

Aachen is now the "best" to watch Dressage with all Arabian horses registerd by the VZAP !

That´s the way winners look like ! Exquisites Fantasy from Austria with Stefan Hirnböck !

ciao Roland Palm

"If the art were not so difficult we would have plenty of good riders and excellently ridden horses, but as it is the art requires, in addition to everything else, character traits that are not combined in everyone: inexhaustible patience, firm perseverance under stress, courage combined with quiet alertness. If the seed is present only a true, deep love for the horse can develop these character traits to the height that alone will lead to the goal."

Thanks Roland.

I wish we would have riders like this here. So many talented Arabians here, and not trained to their potentials. Many just noodle along. Too bad

Dear Hansi,

sorry to hear that, In germany the quality of riders and their horses has grown at Aachen, and it is now after ten years the best you can see in europe !

HRH Princess Lulua al Sabaah  was already watching the classes on saturday, and she was very impressed about the riders and their horses, good to have her sponsoring such a competition !

We are looking forward to 2015 ! Karsten Scherling did an awesome video of what happened at the SHOW, and the same time in the competition arena :

different worlds :-)

ciao Roland Palm

thanks Roland, excellent. Karsten always does a super job.

Here more western or those horrible, sickening english pleasure classes are shown,

It appears thet we have very few quality dressage teachers left. That makes it hard to learn

take care

Hansi
