Gypsy sends her love... and condolences! LOL She's not real sure about the high 80's weather here this week, although she did finally dump the winter coat about 3 weeks ago.

Hi Cathy and Tracey,

Sorry to see what you ladies are dealing with. We had snow last Thurs and Fri. It melted almost immediately here, but a bit farther north, it stayed for a while.

No snow here right now, but there is a COLD wind, and I'm afraid that it's a comin'

Global warming! Isn't it terrible???

Awe Thanks Guys....It's Still Snowing and Windy... Not too cold though. I'm Feeling pretty sorry for my self right now....LOL this has been on and off now all Spring...

Good thing I only put my Potatos and onions in the garden so far... LOL

I have a mare due right away, and we don't have a barn , She is bedded down right now in a Shelter made into a foaling shelter... She should be fine..I Always make sure we breed late enough in the season that we are generally safe, LOL, that one back fired in my face this year one foal on the ground and one to go... It's just so frustrating...

OH Well took on all of unfinished painting projects yesterday and today... Weather man is calling for it to be spring again tomorrow.. We will see...

Thanks Everyone

I know, what a bummer! I was supposed to do a photoshoot in Ontario next week and we had to postpone because of the snow. Here's hoping for warmer weather!

Your story reminds me of coming over the Rocky Mountains in Colorado in June with my family as a kid and we barely made it thru the pass before they closed the road - blowing snow - IN June!

Yeah we woke up to frost on the windshields this AM, thank gosh we didn't get snow. Boy I feel for you.
Good luck with the mare you have due. We had one born on March 17th 2 yrs ago during a blizzard, mare was bedded down in a nice private stall barn, we had heat lamps & foal blankets on hand, everything worked out well in the end. We wish you luck & hope it all melts fast. We will never breed so early again, oh the South is calling me...

Beautiful pictures. All those of you, who live in this type of weather conditions, my hat is off to you. You are all better men/women than I ever want to be. It's probably was due to my "outhouse" experiences as a farm kid in Iowa.

Thanks Everyone... Updating.... The weather is a lot nicer, We have Sun and a little heat with it, Wind is up though but that will dry everything, The mare is still preggo's .... , My painting is done, So things are a lot nicer.

Lorriee, We did the outhouse thing too, and had now power (Mom and Dad homestead a quarter of bush) Melted snow for drinking and wash water....Coal oil lamps to do homework by... My uncle made a wood stock tank heater for the horses, So all we had to do was fill it with snow every morning and night...
We did that until I was 14, once we got power and water We were totally up town... LOL

Thanks again everyone for letting me share my frustration the other day....
